  • On 13th January, a farewell programme was organised by the class XI students and teachers for the batch of class XII. The three hour long evening of ‘FARE-THEE-WELL’ felt like a symphony of emotions, as it was filled with dance, music and award ceremony, recognising the hardwork and talent of the outgoing batch. The school President was recognized and awarded the Mr. Birla High School Trophy along with several other prizes to other students.

    REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION : Republic Day was celebrated by the unfurling of the flag by the Secretary General. Students from Classes VI – VIII along with the teachers were a part of this solemn ceremony.

    THE KLOKATA LITERARY MEET –

    VENUE: VICTORIA MEMORIAL

    DATE :- 24th  – 27th JANUARY.

    Students from classes VI to VIII participated  in the Literary Meet with eminent author Sudha Murty  Shobha Tharoor, Srinivasan, Aporajita Das Gupta, Pinaki Dey, Agnijit Sen, Jael Silliman, John Boyne, Jerry Pinto, Satyajit Banerjee and Titash Banerjea along with workshops by Anindyo Roy and Varuna Shunglu on topics such as Mythology for the Millennials, Flash Fiction, Abol Tabol Special, What Do You Read, Yogic Wisdom for Success were dealt with in the Son et Lumiere, East Gate Kalam Lawns and Gallerie 88 in and around Victoria Memorial, Kolkata.

    A few students of class IX along with boys of other classes attended various enriching sessions and workshops from 24th to 27th  January at the Kolkata Literary Meet '24 held in and around Victoria Memorial, Kolkata.

    EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

    Thirty six students from Literary Club and the Drama Club, including boys of class IX visited the International Children's Film Festival on 29th January at the screening of an Iranian Film 'Walnut' at the Nandan cinema.

    FILMIT INDIA FILM FESTIVAL was organised by INTACH on 31st January in the Audio Visual Room for the senior section students of Birla High School and from thirteen other participating schools of Kolkata. One student per school had prepared to speak/recite a poem/sing a song / or mime on their Filmit Experience. All participants were given certificates.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL PICNIC:

    Students from classes VI to VIII went for their Annual Class Picnics with teachers at various picnic spots in and around Kolkata.
