Birla High School (Senior Section)

To celebrate the UEFA EURO CUP 2024, hosted by Germany, a Workshop was conducted on 29 June 2024, on “Football German with Moves”. Nine students from class VIII visited the Goethe Institute / Max Muller Bhavan to participate in the workshop.

Birla High School participated at Kalakosh, an inter school fest organized by South Point School at G.D. Birla Sabhaghar on 24th June, 2024. Our school was awarded in the following three categories : -

1 st position in Debate - Arya Bhattacharya and Kshrugal Bhattacharya – Class XI

3 rd position in Drama with Aaamer Pratap from Class IX being awarded as ‘The Best Actor.’

COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS

The Calcutta Debating Circle (CDC), in association with Birla High School, organized a workshop-cum-debate under their Debating Excellence programme on 20th and 21st June, at the Vidya Mandir Auditorium. The event featured three participating schools: Birla High School, Sushila Birla Girls’ School, and Birla High School Mukundapur. The programme included the involvement of CDC stalwarts and prominent debating champions from four prestigious universities: Harvard University, University of Oxford, London School of Economics, and Yale University. The winners of the debate were Niilesh Ghosh of class X from BHS, Yugaditya Sharma from BHSM and Aishee Majumder from SBGS, who were to compete with the debating champions from abroad on 1st July, 2024 at JIS University.
