Birla High School aims to make its students true “Global Citizens”, with a concern for environment, global issues that are economic; social; political and cultural in nature and are common across borders. It aims to create a favorable and congenial environment for the students and staff to reach out to as many people as they can, by utilizing modern technology and communication links to their advantage and in return build long term friendships and relationships across the globe thus promote the concept of “global village”. With this aim the school has successful linkages with U.K –Cardinal Allen Catholic High School, Germany-Amandus Abendroth Gymnasium and China-Kunming No 8 High School, where it has had teacher and student exchange visits and has worked on an array of Projects ranging from “Carbon Footprint” “Endangered Species” and “Gender Inequality”. It has touched areas like Community Service, Drama, Physical Education and Environment. The School has also had linkages with Taiwan; Thailand where the students worked on Computer based projects. Birla High School is very open to new ideas and is ready to embrace opportunities with other countries like Japan and is working towards the same.
