FRENCH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

Twelve students, accompanied by 2 teachers of St.Louis La Paix, France were in Birla High School as part of an exchange programme from 30 th November – 13 th December,2023. It was an enriching experience for all the students where they got to know each other along with their culture and heritage.

France (2018-2019)

FRENCH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

As a part of the Indo French exchange programme between Birla High School and St. Louis la Paix, ten students of the latter along with their two teachers Ms. Indrani Banerjee and Ms. Madhurima Ghosh visited Lorient, France between 8.5.2019 to 17.5.2019. The main aim of this exchange program was to study the architecture and monuments of the two countries and to gauge how history of a particular period can be instrumental in shaping the architectural designs of that era.  

The Indian students stayed with their host families and attended school with their French counterparts. They participated in many innovative classes such as those conducted by famous French authors to assist students to enhance their writing skills. The Deputy Mayor invited the students to the Town Hall and addressed all regarding the need and importance of conducting exchange programmes. The Indian delegation along with the students and teachers of the French school attended the conference of all schools in Brittany having exchange programme with India at Morlaix.

The exchange programme was learning and an enjoyable experience for both the students and teachers. It facilitated the learning, understanding and appreciation of a diffdifferent culture which is very much the need of the present times.
