Birla High School (Senior Section)

Action Research Training - An online training for the teachers of senior section of Birla High School was organised on 17^th May, 2021.The training was conducted by Mrs.Runa Basu, Coordinator, Jr. Section. 

Teacher Stress Burnout and Stress Management Techniques and Conversation on Structured and Continuous Professional Development  was attended by our Special Educator Mr. Amitava Mitra.

Integration of AI into Curriculum Training – The National Education Policy 2020 has levied special importance on the aspects of coding, AI, and skill-based Curriculum . The online workshop on Zoom which commenced on 17^th May, 2021 was attended by the Principals, Headmistresses and selected teaching faculty members of Birla High School, Sushila Birla High School, and Birla High School, Mukundupur.

Webinar for Teachers on Physical Health of Children during Covid 19 Mr. Goutam Ghosh from the Physical Education department had participated in the webinar on 3^rd May’21.

Annual Day 2021 –-

The grand Virtual Annual Day Celebration and Prize Distribution Ceremony for the year 2020- 2021 was aired on the 15^th of  May 11.30 onwards.  The program was hosted through Facebook in light of the current pandemic. The theme of this year’s Annual Day program was “Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya – Lead us from Darkness unto Light”.

The day's programme was set in motion by a series of cultural events performed by the boys – vocal, orchestra and dance. The Annual report was, presented by Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Loveleen Saigal. With great pride, the several school and individual awards and laurels were also mentioned by Ms. Saigal. The prize distribution was organized to recognize the deserving students who secured high achievements in the academic and co- curricular fields.

The event culminated with the Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem. The programme turned out to be a grand success because of the overwhelming response. It left us with a commitment and hope to make the next session even better.

SRI GUROTSAV 2021 – INTER SCHOOL TEACHERS’ FEST -

On the occasion of the birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and the 10^th year celebrations of the school, we were invited by Sri Sri Academy to participate in Inter School Virtual Fest for teachers Sri Gurotsav 2019 (Celebrate the teacher!) a day-long, multi-discipline competition which was held on Thursday, 13^th May, 2021. Our School teachers participated in all the eight Competitive events,  Spices of India (Creative Art), Art Junktion (Best out of the Waste), DesignIT (Logo Designing), Video Tape (Video Making), Sound Spirit (Music), Let’s Act (Drama), Padam (Solo Dance) and MasterMinds (Quiz). The teachers participated enthusiastically in each event. Prolay Sarkar won the third prize in Padam (solo dance) and Ms Runa Basu and Kaveri attained the Second position in Quiz.

Rabindra Jayanti Celebration-

Birla High school celebrated Rabindra Jayanti on 7th May,2021 through a virtual platform. Rajmit Banerjee, a student of class 10 A hosted the entire programme.The programme began with a signature Rabindra Sangeet by the students of class Eight which was followed by a dance performance by the students of the class seven and finally concluded with a  wonderful recitation by the students of class Ten.  The students performed to different creations of Tagore from their respective houses, thereby, getting a chance to express their creative conscience through the celebration of Art.
