East Kolkata Wetlands Exhibition held  at BITM

Rabindra Jayanti Celebrations

The students of senior section (classes VI-X) celebrated the 159th birth anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore by putting up a cultural programme during the school assembly. It started with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of Tagore’s portrait. Students sang a few Rabindra sangeet and danced to the tune of the bard’s immortal songs. A student recited a popular Bengali poem, ‘Bojha Pora’.

Orientation Programme for Classes 9 & 10

The orientation programme for classes 9 and 10 was held on 8.05.19. The panelists for the programme comprised the principal, Mrs. L. Saigal, the co-ordinator Ms S. Sen and the School cousellor Mrs. S. Sinha. The mass communicators for the programme were Utkarsh Bagaria Swastik Mukherjee of class 10 B.

Career Counselling

The annual Career Counselling Session organised by Birla High School for students of classes 11 and 12 was held on the 6th and 7th of May 2019 respectively. The session conducted by Mr Shiv Dewan from One-Step Up, aimed at outlining the different career choices in front of a student and how one can go about preparing for it.
