Birla High School (Senior Section)

INTACH FILMit  WORKSHOP-  Was held on 28 July,2021 at 2:15pm on Online Platform. The Workshop was to train students  on video shooting and editing different types of softwares for Film Making in which students of class 7 and 8 took part. 

The 22nd Annual L. N. Birla Memorial Debate was organized on an online platform via Zoom. Two preliminary rounds were held on 8^th and 9^th of July and the final round on 10^th July. A total of 18 schools participated in the debate from across India.  The finals were conducted on 10^th July with 8 selected schools from the two preliminary rounds. It was chaired by Dr. Kunal Sarkar, an eminent cardiac surgeon and a keen debater. The judges for the day were Ms. Swati Gautam, Mr. Utpal Chatterjee and Ms. Devjani Ray. The chief guest was Justice Dipankar Dutta, Chief Justice, Mumbai High Court. The motion laid before the house was ‘Civilization is essentially an escalating conflict with nature’. Birla High School emerged as the best team, followed by Mahadevi Birla World Academy as 1st runners up and Bluebells International School as 2nd runners up. Nakshat Pandey of Birla High School was adjudged the best speaker and Samridhya Chatterjee of Mahadevi Birla World Academy received the jury award for most impactful speaker. The host school passed on the winner’s trophy to Mahadevi Birla World Academy.     

The students of BHS do not deter to extend their helping hand in any situation. Sitting at home during the Pandemic the students of classes IX and X participated in the Young Warriors Movement, an initiative taken by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Unicef in association with CBSE.

The Friend’s FM Quiz was held on 25^th July’21. Ram Daftari and Siddharth Gupta of Class X won the quarter finals against DPS – Ruby Park.

Unlocking the Career Code - On 17^th July, 2021 (Saturday) a webinar, ‘Unlocking the Career Code’ was organized for the students of classes 9 to 12. The webinar was conducted by Ms. Kala Anand, Director, Career Services of Krea University.

Investiture Ceremony

“The  Investiture Ceremony” of Birla High School  was flagged  on Saturday 3rd July 2021, on the virtual platform.  The ceremony was successfully streamed on Facebook Live amid a lot of enthusiasm and commitment .
