THE ELEVENTH ODYSSEY - (SCHOOL FEST- 2017)

The Eleventh Odyssey started with a bang with the Offstage events on 20th July and continued with the Onstage events on the 28th and 29th of July, 2017. We saw many breathtaking performances in Fashion Show, Band, Western Dance, No Strings attached, Turncoat Debate, Quiz, Half-a-minute, NGO event and 60 seconds to fame. The two-day fiest  came to an end with a scintillating Guest Performance by Siddharth Mahadevan. Heartiest congratulations to the teacher coordinator and the core committee for making the fest a grand success.

NO-HORN, ANTI-POLLUTION AND ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN BY BIRLA HIGH SCHOOL BOYS IN COLLABORATION WITH ANTI POLLUTION CELL OF KOLKATA TRAFFIC POLICE

On 25th July 2017, our school has launched a NO-HORN, ANTI-POLLUTION and ROAD SAFETY campaign at Hungerford Street (in front of Birla High School) in collaboration with Kolkata Traffic Police. The approval for the campaign was given by DC Traffic of KTP, Lalbazar. O C Anti Pollution Cell Mr Sajal Dutta and OC South Traffic Guard Joyjit Banerjee had promptly sent officers on duty. The student members of No Horn Campaign Squad with banners on NO-HORN, ANTI-POLLUTION and ROAD SAFETY jumped into action along with the Anti Pollution Cell and South Traffic Guard of Kolkata Traffic Police to instill among the drivers and the pedestrians, awareness on road safety, detrimental effects of noise pollution and air pollution. The students positioned themselves from 12.00 to 12.40 pm to pull up offenders and register cases with KTP. Total 10 cases have been registered during the campaign.

THE INTER-HOUSE ELOCUTION CONTEST 2017-18

The 18th L.N. Birla Memorial Debate

The L.N. Birla Memorial Debate is the fulfillment of our Founder Late Mr . L.N.Birla’s vision of a complete education of our pupils which would combine service with excellence, create independent and free thinking men and women who could confidently lead to new frontiers of knowledge and progress “The prelims of the debate was held on Monday  10th of July 2017. The Debate Finals were held on 11th July 2017.

SUPW PROJECT

Class 9 conducted a nutritious packed breakfast party which was organised on 6th July 2017 as an SUPW project (which was done housewise and each house was given an individual topic like Netaji house was given the topic All nutrients , Gandhi house was given protein ,Ashok house was given Vitamins ,Shivaji house was given Minerals and Pratap house was given carbohydrates as an individual topic ) was a successful project done by the boys
