BIRLA HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITY BEYOND CLASSROOM FOR CLASS X STUDENTS

A Visit to the Standard Chartered Bank

The Social Science department of Birla High School had arranged for a field trip to Standard Chartered Bank (Shakespeare Sarani) for the students of class 10 on 3^rd and 4^th December, 2015-2016. The objective behind this trip was to enrich the knowledge of the students regarding the need of bank in our regular life and the mechanism by which banks operate. The students, accompanied by their social science teachers, were cordially received by the bank authorities. The students were provided with a power-point presentation regarding different information about the bank. The branch manager, Mr. Gurshetal Singh conducted an interactive session with the students and explained each and every detail about the functioning of a bank.The students were also taken to different departments and counters. All the officers individually interacted with the students and explained them the functioning of each counter. Thus,beyond classroom, the students were equipped with valuable information  which would help them both in their academic performances and also in their future activities at banks. The teachers of Birla High School are thus highly obliged to the bank authorities to assist their students to gain first hand information about banks.
