The Gandhi Quiz

The Gandhi Quiz was conducted on 29th April 2019 by Mr Saraogi and Mr Lodha. The Birla High School boys of classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 participated in it. It was an interhouse quiz won by the Tagore House represented by Vedant Palit and Rayan Chakrabarti. It was an interesting quiz based on various aspects of Gandhi’s life.

Annual Day & Prize Distribution Ceremony

Birla High School celebrated its Annual Day on the 24th and the  25th of April, 2019.  A musical, based on Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Treasure Island' was staged by the students of the school . The cultural programme was followed by the presentation of the Annual Report by Principal, Mrs Loveleen Saigal, where she highlighted the achievements, activities and various other events of the school in the previous academic year. Students were awarded  individually and in groups for their excellence in various fields. The Best House , Best Club and  Neatest classroom awards were also given out to motivate and encourage the students.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME - CLASS XI, SESSION- 2019-20

The ORIENTATION PROGRAMME for Class XI, 2019- 20 was held at Birla High School, Vidya Mandir Auditorium on 13 April, 2019 from 8.45 am to 10.30 am. Parents were provided an opportunity to learn about the educational practices at school and the school rules and regulations; Ms Loveleen Saigal, Principal and Ms S. Mukherjee, Coordinator, Class XI-XII interacted with parents from 8.45am to 11.00 am to discuss issues regarding curriculum, student- teacher development, assessment practices and suggestions on innovative programmes. Counsellor, Ms J. Majumder advised on issues related to the mental health of children.

THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The Investiture ceremony took place on the 8th of April 2019 in the Assembly. There were two boys for each of the six houses. The twelve House Prefects who were selected from Class Eight were conferred with the Prefects responsibility by the Principal, Ms. L.Saigal who pinned the badges for them.  All the prefects were made aware of their responsibilities entrusted on them and to strive to keep the flag of Birla High School. 

THE ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CLASSES VI TO VIII

The Orientation Programme for classes VI to VIII was held on 06th April 2019 in the Vidya Mandir Auditorium. Majority of the parents took out their valuable time to attend the session resulting in a packed hall. The panel members comprised of our Principal Ma’am - Ms. Loveleen Saigal, Coordinator of classes VII and VIII - Mrs Renu Bubna, Coordinator of class VI - Ms.Pallavi Bhansali and the school counsellor - Mrs Soumita Sinha. They apprised the parents of the school rules and regulations and provided the guardians a platform to clarify their doubts.
