  • Ms Mukta Nain, Director, Birla High Schools was awarded the  "Status Single "  award for her contribution in the field of Education by the Status Single committee.


    Birla High School won the Technology Integration Award 2024 at the EASTERN K-12 EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2023-24 on 7th April 2024 at Kolkata.



    Birla High School was awarded the Number 1 school for Academic Excellence and Best Infrastructure in Central Kolkata by The Times Of India at an award ceremony held at JW Marriott, Kolkata on 22nd March 2024. Secretary General Major General VN Chaturvedi (Retd.), Director Ms. Mukta Nain, Principal Ms. Loveleen Saigal, Headmistress Ms. Farida Singh and all coordinators were present at the award ceremony to receive the award for the institution.

    We are happy to announce that Birla High School has been recognised as the Best Education Brand by Economic Times in Mumbai on 21st March, 2024. 

    Birla High School was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award at a function at New Delhi on 7th February,2024. Mrs. Renu Bubna received it on the behalf of the school.

    Our Director Ma'am, Ms. Mukta Nain was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Edition of the Gurukul Awards on 16th December, 2023.


     

    The school ranked No. II in the country and 1st in West Bengal & Kolkata by Education Today. The undersigned attended an impressive ceremony at Bangalore on 11th December’23.

    Birla High School is Ranked No. 2 in India , No. 1 in West Bengal and Ranked No.1 in Kolkata under the Category-Top 3 Boys Day School by Education Today.

    The Headmistress went to Mumbai on 24th November to receive on behalf of Birla High School the ‘Outstanding School Award’ at the Dewang Mehta National Education Leadership Awards.

    Mrs. Madhurima Ghosh, Asst. Teacher – French was the recipient of the French Teaching Excellence Award 2023 in school education for the Eastern zone of India. It was organized by the Consul General of France in Kolkata on the occasion of the International Day of French Teachers (JIPF) on 20th November at the French Consulate, Kolkata. She was nominated by the Associations of French Teachers in India, the Indian Association of Teachers of French (IATF), the Association of Indian French Professionals and Researchers (AIFPRO), the Association of Teachers of European Languages ​​in India (ATELI) and the French Institute in India.

    Education World India School Rankings 2023-24 Awards

    Birla High School was recognized as the 3rd ranked school in India and 1st in Kolkata and West Bengal in the Boys Day School category, at the Education World India School Rankings 2023-24 Awards.

    Birla High School is the proud winner of the "School of the Year," awarded by The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence 2023.

    At the ET Industry Leaders East , 2023 , Birla High School won the award for “The Leading School of Central Kolkata”

    Vidya Mandir Society (Birla High School) was awarded the 'Best School Chain of 2023' and Birla High School was awarded the 'Educational Excellence Award 2023' on 20th August 2023 at an Award Ceremony, held at New Delhi.

     

    On 19th August, Special Honour Certificates were received by the school for Excellence in Academics, Social Service and Extra Curricular Activities at South City International School for the Telegraph School Awards for Excellence 2023. Garv Kejriwal, Kushad Chakraborty and Somshekhar Das received honour certificates for Outstanding Talent in Sports.

    Principal, Ms. Loveleen Saigal and Headmistress Ms. Farida Singh were felicitated at the World Education Congress amongst the top 50 leaders in education at Mumbai on Thursday, 13th July,2023.

    Birla High School has received the award for The Best Education Brand by the Economic Times at New Delhi on Thursday 29th June, 2023.

    At the Economic Times Awards at the Taj Lands End, in Mumbai, Vidya Mandir Society received the award for the Best Educational Group and Secretary General VN Chaturvedi was felicitated with an award for being a Visionary Leader.

    Birla High School received an award for "Excellence in imparting Futuristic & Life Skill Development Based Curriculum " by Eldrok India K-12 Summit on 2nd February, 2023.

    10th Lions Gurukul Awards : It was a gratifying moment for Birla High School as the undersigned, Mrs. Loveleen Saigal, Principal was honoured with the Principal of the Year Award by Lion’s Clubs International Districts on 19th November at Lions Children Corner, Deshapriya Park.

     

    Birla High School is ranked No 3 in India, No.1 in Kolkata and West Bengal by Education Today India School Merit Awards in the All India Boys Day School category.

    Mrs Loveleen Saigal, Principal of Birla High School has been honoured with Principal of the year award by Gurukul Awards,Lions Clubs International District.

     Birla High School has been awarded the FAP National Award for Excellence in Academics presented by the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly at Chandigarh on 29th October, 2022.

    Education World India Rankings 2022-23 has ranked Birla High School as #4 school in "India's Top 10 Boys Day School "category. The award ceremony was held on 12th October 2022 in Gurgaon at Leela Ambience Hotel. Well done, team BHS! Let's keep the school flag flying high!

    Birla High School has been awarded the Prestigious Jury Award under the category of ‘Exemplary Digital Learning Efficiency’ by the Jury of Education Today.     BHS bags the Asian Summit Education Today Award for Best Quality Education in Eastern India at a function in Delhi.

     


    IDS Award 2020-2023

    Birla High School has been accredited with the International School Award from the British Council since 2009. The School was working on the reaccreditation for  ISA 2019 – 2020, Round 2. The same involved working on Projects with International Dimension and Collaboration with Foreign schools. With the Pandemic this was a mammoth task for all the Teachers to do the collaborative activities and fulfill all the requirements of this Project. The teachers were very positive and resilient and made sure that all the requirements were met and we submitted the Dossier to British Council. 

    We are extremely happy to announce that the School has been  awarded  the International Dimension in Schools certificate for the period 2020-23. Heartiest congratulations to the BHS Team !

     


    Birla High School Ranked No.3 in India in the Boys School Category and No.1 in Kolkata by Education Today.

     

     


    Ms. Mukta Nain, our Director was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award by the Telegraph Education Foundation on 12th December through a virtual programme. The school also received the following certificates:

    a) Merit Certificate for Excellence in Academics (CBSE) 

    b) Honour Certificate for Social Service

    In the Individual Category, students who received the following are :

    a)      Rayan Chakrabarti (Speaker) received the Honour Certificate - The Award for

             Outstanding Talent and The Award for Academic Excellence by a Student.

    b)      Kinjawl Bhattacharyya - Honour Certificate – The Award for Academic Excellence by a Student.

    BRICS MATHEMATICS COMPETITION:

    Debarshi Bhattacharjee of class VII was declared the Global Winner of the Brics Math Competition, 2020 

    BPMME (Brahm Prakash Memorial Material Elocution) – 2020

    Aaryaman Choudhury of Class XII Sc represented the School at the prestigious National level Elocution competition was organized by the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Kalpakkam. His  topic was (Isotope Based Power Sources for Space Applications) and he was judged on the basis of originality and merit of the essay written by him.Aaryaman was not only declared the Winner of the Competition and he received a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- and  a Certificate from the organizers.

     Brics Math Competition

    Well done Debarshi Bhattacharjee winner of the BRICS Mathematics competition. 

     


    ACCOLADES 


    November,2020 has been a month of good news coming from different sources which has been an encouragement for the school to surge further ahead.


     Education Today has ranked Birla High School as No.3 in the Boys’ Day School category as also as No.1 in the city of Kolkata and No.2 in the state of West Bengal.


     In a survey done by Education World through CForce our school was ranked No.8 in the country in the Boys’ Day School category. We have leap frogged from being No.20 to No. 8 amongst the top 10 schools in the country. They have also ranked us as the best CBSE School in the Boys’ School category in the city and the state of West Bengal.


    GLI Certification

    School was Globally Certified at the House of Commons, London, U.K. The Secretary  General and the Principal received the Certificate ‘Great Place to Study’ from Baroness Sandip  Verma for the year 2019-20. The happiness quotient of the school was 4.13 on a scale of 5 after the collation of the results of an online survey done by Skill Tree from the students, parents and teachers.

     

     


    Ms. Mukta Nain, The Director of Birla Schools was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award by GURUKUL AWARD 2019.

    Soumil Sen, a student of class 8B, took part in the ISRO online space quiz and got selected as the only city boy to witness the landing of Chandrayan 2 on the south polar region of the moon. He was invited to visit ISRO office at Bengaluru to be a part of this spectacular history along with PM Shri Narendra Modi and other great scientists. He was one of the 74 students to be selected across the country to witness the achievement.

    Ms. Mukta Nain, The Director of Birla Schools was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award at SANKALP EDUCATION AWARDS 2019. The honour was presented by LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL DIST-322B2, DAVID & GOLIATH and FACES.


    On 24th August, 2019 Birla High School got Awards for Excellence in Academics Excellence in Extra Curricular Activities along with A Certificate of Appreciation for Social Service.

    Birla High School has been globally recognized at the House of Commons, London by Baroness Sandip Verma. We have been certified by Great Place to Study. It is indeed a proud moment for the entire BHS family. 


     


    BHS bags the No. 5 position in the State Rankings at the Eduworld's Awards Ceremony - Gurgaon.


    Birla High School received Best Co-Curricular School award from Lions Gurukul Award - 2018. Devansh Chandak received for the Best CBSE Results 2018. Event was held on 25th Aug 2018 at Vidya Mandir Auditorium.


     Devansh Chandak School Topper (Std XII), and Sanskar Saraf,Commerce Stream School Topper (Std XII) were felicitated at the Netaji Indoor Stadium by the Chief Minister,Mamata Banerjee. Each of them received a cash prize of Rs.10,000/-, an HP Laptop,a Fast Track wrist watch,books and a box of sweets.

     

     


    Birla High School was once again accredited with the International School Award by the British Council for 2017-2020. The award was presented in New Delhi and the ceremony was attended by Ms. Soma Nandy and Ms. Runa Basu.

    International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) 'Teachers Day Award 2016'  was a unique initiative in association with T2/The Telegraph of eastern India. This award was given to Ms. Renu Bubna on 4th September,2016 for her outstanding contribution for imparting holistic education. She has contributed selflessly towards imparting knowledge and helped students understand her subject, Biology.

     

     


    The Awards and Achievements received by the school has not only enhanced the glory of the school but has inspired us to work with mounting dedication to explore and excel. Our confidence has heightened with each endeavour and the hard work of the students and teachers have borne fruitful results.
